 Adjectives for Description 

Purpose: To describe people using adjectives of personality.

1.  Vocabulary:

1. Cautious/adventurous
2. Talkative/quiet
3. Friendly/unsociable,unfriendly
4. Generous/selfish
5. Energetic/lazy
6. Serious/ funny
7. Shy/ confident
8. Honest/ dishonest
9. Modern/traditional
10. Polite /rude

• Brave - Someone who isn't afraid of danger
• Talkative / chatty - Someone who talks a lot
• Friendly - Someone who is nice to other people.
• Grumpy - Somene who has bad – tempered
• Funny - Someone who is amusing.
• Honest - Someone who is truthful and who doesn't cheat or steal.
• Polite - Someone who has good manners.
• Quiet - Someone who doesn't talk very much.
• Selfish - Someone who only thinks about themselves.
• Shy - Someone who is quiet and a little bit nervous around other people.
• Adventurous – Someone who loves to try something new and seeks out the fun in life.
• Unfriendly –  Someone who isn’t friendly .
• Serious – Someone who is not joking or intended to be funny.
• Energetic – Someone who prefer physical activities or someone who has a lot of enthusiasm.
• Dishonest – Someone who isn’t reliable and who steal or cheat.
• Modern – Someone who is a comtemporary person
• Traditional-  Someone who is old -fashioned
• Rude –Someone who is impolite ; bad mannered

2. Grammar:

• When we talk about people's description we use adjectives ( personality  and appearance)
• We use the question :

        What is he/she like? He/she is Serious


3. Examples:

• What is your mother like?(cómo es tu mamá)
• She is friendly and talkative. (ella es amigable y conversadora)
